I'm new to muzzleloading and I'd like to hear your comments on this package offered by Wholesale Sports:

I'm having a hard time finding much information about the Remington Genesis rifles here and on the internet in general. For those that own this muzzleloader, how do you like the TorchCam action? I'll mainly be using this rifle for plinking and target shooting. If she's a good shooter I might even decide to hunt with her this up coming season. Now, I also have my eyes on a T/C Omega or a thumbole version of the Remington Genesis so I'm undecied. Seem like a lot of people really like their Omega's but they're a little pricer than the Remingtons at the moment. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

I bought a Genesis this year. First muzzleloader ever. Had it sighted in for me from the gun shop. First shot... Buck 1. Second shot.... doe 1. Third shot.... well, I had to unload it to clean it. Best package I found for the money. The torchcam is just a nice name for their cap holder. It's easy to clean and carry. Wouldn't hesistate to reccommend this rifle. The only thing is don't use the sabots and bullets that come with it. I used the green sabots and .40cal bullets with 100 grain pyrodex as per my gun shop when they sighted it in. Works great. Also, use anti seize from canadian tire on the breach plug and not the "chap stick" type they send with it.

oh yeah, as for cleaning... you can't get much easier. The breech plug comes with a wrench and two screws take out the action. Go by the instructions and you'll have no problems.
 
Thanks for the comments. For $400 I figured I can't go wrong and I'm not expecting much for that price. Can you achieve moa accuracy at 100 yards with the Genesis? How about at 200 yards?
 
The gun shop I bought it from said the scoped it in at 100 yds and had about 2" spread. But that was with the green sabots and the hornaday .42 cal bullets (100g pyrodex). With the one's out of the box he couldn't even get them on the paper. I shot both my deer at about 50 -55yds and was dead on where I put the crosshairs. I played around with it a couple weeks ago but didn't go over 100 yds. I don't know about hitting anything that far away and getting a clean kill but that's just my opinion. I've heard of guys going upwards of 200 with a muzzie but not sure I'm good enough or confident enough to try it out.
