Hi guys,
Could / Would somebody please explain to me why it seems impossible to find "modern" (and I do not mean that in a bad way) Colt SAA revolvers with the "old style" grips? They looked like black rubber but I think were called "gutta percha" ... an exotic (for the time) rubber-based product that I think preceded Mr. Goodyear and his high-tech innovations ... like Vulcanization, I think.
It seems that all the manufacturers offer everything BUT these accurate-for-the-time grips. Wood, fake ivory, real ivory, whatever ... what's the problem with inexpensive/vintage black rubber? Faux, or otherwise?
Thanks.
