The thing is nobody is the same, my mom died at 81 and 2 weeks prior to her hospitalization she was still biking 50+km a few times a week plus taking care of over 50k square of gardens and lawn…
My dad is 84 still going strong ish, stopped hunting a few years back, last year one of his best friend died after he fell off a platform helping an other friend set up his blind a few days before moose opening… that other friend already had heath issues and it didn’t get better after the passing of there friend so dad pretty much decided he was done.
Our very own Whynot, is in is 80’s and his wife in her late 80’s and both of them still enjoy going out with the freighter and the camper fishing for lakers and big pikes. Ted me and a few others seem to always end up together looking for bears in the spring!
An other friend stoped hunting dal sheep at 81-82 but still go moose hunting and shot a moose by himself last year and not beside the truck… he is 85!
An other friend that was hunting bison with us last week is 76 I believe and damn that guy looks no more than 60 and move like he is no more than 50!!
I’m only 55yo but working mainly construction my body took its toll, but I try to keep fit and I hope to be able to hunt for a long time!!
But you never know what tomorrow will bring or take away from you so may as well make the best out of every day( I say that but I don’t follow my own advise unfortunately
