Anyone ever hear of / see / actually shoot one of these...?

I found it on a site mentioned by another member, CanStarArms.ca...

The pistol is listed as a Norico, but the markings got me curious. I would much rather a German hand-gun than a Chinese version...

Then I Googled "NORCONIA", and look what's at the top of the list...

http://www.norconia.de/

I wonder if anyone Imports these, as there's some other guns that are appealing also... NP30..!

Thanx for the heads-up fellas..!

They are a little nicer looking than the Norinco, but not sure about the double-satck...

Wouldn't the handle be alot thicker compared to a single stack...? I have small(er) hands...

Correct. Not sure if it would be a lot thicker though as I have never held one.

Yep, it's fatter. If the double stack appeals to you, you can probably use thinner grips, and a flat mainspring housing to reduce the difference. On other double stacks, you can also use a shorter trigger if needed, but I'm not sure if the aftermarket triggers will fit.

(I recall hearing that the trigger from the Caspian wide body frame may work, but I'm not certain.)

Norconia 1911a1

I have this pistol. To correct one of the posts, it is a single stack. I am very happy with it. I did have a problem with the original mags and have replaced them. The only thing I have been unsatisfied with is the front sight. The dot on it is a dull brown instead of white and can disappear quite easily in alot of lighting conditions. otherwise a good gun.

If you follow that link you will see that under product, they list there handgun models with the initial "NP" , just like how our Norinco's are stamped.

As far as the double stack goes, all I was saying is that this is what is available!

Not sure where you guys are finding a single stack like that right now but I would buy one right now if I could!

No point talking about guns that aren't available!
