Meh. It would be better with an e/135 above the bcd.

What's with the first two digits of the receiver serial? Are they double struck or just struck over top something?

Love the ink stamp!

Light strike then restrike as far as I can tell under a magnifying glass Jeremy.

A friend in the US.

That's what I thought. You can see the top of the 1 under the 1. Interesting.

The barrel markings are pretty neat as well. The arrow I've seen but not the little logo/initials in a circle like that.

The little iron cross symbol was just recently discussed on the other forum. There was some debate whether it was an Astrawerke or Gustloff thing. I can't remember the final word on it thought. Astrawerke I think.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I was happy to get this one in.

Someone stated they have several bnz coded rifles using Astrawerke receivers and they were also marked. So sounds like Astrawerke, but the thread died.

Heres my 3 bcd rifles.

bcd4 1st no letter, matching
bcd4 q, matching
bcd43 t, matching

That's what I gathered from it. Makes the most sense that it's an Astrawerke thing. Probably some in house acceptance/inspection marking.

Looks cool at any rate.
