German HK45 Pistol PREORDER!

Also what is the difference between triggers? I couldn't find too much on the lem trigger, is it just a lighter trigger pull in da but still functions as a da/sa?
 
It's double action only I believe. I may be wrong, but I think the LEM trigger works in a similar way as the old Para Light Double Action triggers in such that once you chamber a round, the action is partially cocked but the hammer is all the way down resulting in a very light and fast double action pull.
 
Ive been told its a D/A only 8lb. trigger on the LEM model compared to the factory 2-4 lb. ish trigger. I dont know of hand the actual factory pull weight but im sure its less than 8 pounds. I also prefer the s/a and d/a option. Im pretty sure this is a compact model (not compact tactical) that comes with the threaded bbl option already in place. Idk what other differences there is between the two but it may just be the flat mag baseplate vs. the extended bottom ones that the c/t mags come with. Correct me if im wrong. And no they are not coming with night sights :(
 
I was wrong they come with luminous night sights or something from germany but we can get trijicons etc once they're here!! And ya mags arent cheap lol, i think they come with 2 so an additional 3 or 4 should do!
 
Get back to work sir!! Anyone know how the grip on the hk45 compact feels compared to the usp45 compact tactical. I found the usp45 c/t to be too thin and boxy. If they are similar what out there for wrap around grips.... hogue etc???
 
My guess would be about the same but less boxy, mags are the same so thickness should be very similar...

LEM comes in various weights. Many of the LEM P2000's in Canada were the V1 version which was a 5 lb pull with a superlight takeup. It feels like a single action trigger with long takeup. The V2 adds more resistance to the takeup making feel like a DAO trigger....the 8lb one listed here.

You can always change springs to make it a V1.
 
What is the availability of parts / service for the HK pistols?

For example, springs to adjust the trigger weight, whatever is needed to move the lever to the right side for left handed shooters and/or add a second lever to make it ambidextrous, magazines, parts for magazines, etc.

I have read horror stories about HK "... we hate you ... " etc. but have never owned one of their firearms so I don't know if these are internet myths or if there is any truth to them.

Spoke with Gary on the phone this am and put a deposit on a compact. Internet says it doesn't come with a thread protector, would you guys be able to order some of these as well please? I have found them online out of the US for under $30, but the shipping was going to be $42 to BC. Would prefer to get it from Wanstalls if possible. Thanks.
 
I too am interested whether the hk45 compact has the finger grooves, or the grip that looks like the p2000?
 
I really doubt they redesigned the HK45C guys, even if they did why would they name it the same?

What are you doubting? We aren't asking if they can redesign it, we are asking which already existing version is being offered.
 
Germany is not allowed to export our version of "night sights"...don't hate on HK for it. Theirs are more of a "glow in the dark type".

Most people...or at least serious shooters...end up switching out their guns sights anyways and everyone has their own taste in the type and style they prefer. I'd rather factory/cheap ones come with it so I am not paying $100 for what someone else thinks is a "good" upgrade. Personally I just blacked out the rear dots on my gun and just kept the front bead...works great, very easy and fast to pick up.

"Tell me about this "lack of civilian customer service" HK has? Ever used it? Even tried? OR spouting off stuff that you heard on the net?

HK...all but 2 of their guns are made in Germany, and the 2 that are made in the USA are just assembled there. So in that sense, thing can take time...ordering parts IF they are coming from Germany. HK doesn't "think you suck and hate you" they have their own very strict rules in Germany about what is/is not sporting and what they can sell to the public/over seas. So again its not HK...its the German/European government's rules they need to follow. And that is before we even get into shipping rules/costs/times. Ever wonder how come things like CZ or Norinco can be stuck at the docks for weeks on end? Shipping over seas is not a fast and painless process at the best of times...and we are talking about shipping guns here, not Playstations.

Need a gun REPLACED or fixed...as in big issues, it can/WILL be done. Just takes time...just like all serving of guns in this country take.

Need small parts/extra? EASY...100s of sells in the USA and many ship to Canada...if not have someone like irunguns.ca bring them in LEGALLY for you. HK USA is more then helpful if you ask someone who has ACTUALLY USED THEM...not someone who is just repeating what Mr. Glock fanboy has been saying since the 90s about their service and knows jack all.

Civilians are only legally allowed to own a VERY small about of the products HK makes and sells...and we make up a very small portion of their sales so of course government, military and law enforcement sales and customers "come first" as that is where 99% of the money comes from but the civilians are FAR from being left in the dust.

Lastly...how many people are even needing work done on their HKs? They are not Sig Sauer (or Kimber!) the #1 warranty/replacement pistol in Canada. . Don't believe me...talk to some store owners. "
