German HK45 Pistol PREORDER!

Thanks for keeping us posted Gary. Did you ask about doing anything for us in the way of compensation for the misinformation regarding delivery dates? Thank you.

lol H&K would just hold the shipment until we offered to compensate THEM for pestering them with civilian business. This is the same company that ships expensive threaded guns with no thread protector.

H&K: Because you suck, and we hate you! *spits on civilians*

Yeah, I kind of figured that as well but am trying to find out if Wanstalls has the same mentality towards customer service. They are the retailer who took our money and gave us a delivery date.

^ Based on the best information that they had available to them at the time. I'm sure they had to put money down as well to have H&K build the pistols in question.

That said I would like to get my tan one as well... ;)

I received my long anticipated pistol (Black) a couple of month's ago. "Fantastic" is where I start and it gets better from there. I wanted to compliment Wanstalls on the service getting it to me. Would I have preferred if it had all happened a little quicker? Yes. That would be nice. But as someone who sometimes has to deal with suppliers that occasionally make me look bad, I empathize with Wanstalls. Let's face it folks, the only way to avoid problems like this is to build our own gun factory and take out the middlemen. But, there are issues with that. I will say this though, the pistol is worth the wait and it will seem all the sweeter when you take it out of it's case and start feeding it bullets.

I don't get why people seem to feel entitled to some compensation from Wanstalls? It's not their fault hk is delaying the original date. That said is does suck to have several hundred dollars tied up in a gun you don't have. Either way my point is the blame falls with hk and not Wanstalls

Generation of entitlement...
Yes. I do feel entitled to receive a product I paid for when the company said I would receive it. Is that a generational thing? I am not very young. My dad is in his 70s and also expects good service, or compensation. Perhaps he is ahead of his time! Doesn't the middleman have a commitment to talk to the supplier regarding compensating the customers if the supplier is at fault? I didn't enter a business deal with HK. But I did with wanstalls.

I'm glad the pistol is worth the wait, although I didn't at any point think it wouldn't be. Also, I see your point and empathize with wanstalls regarding the fact the it is not their fault. I have received great service from them in the past, which is why I chose to deal with them instead of another CGN sponsor where I could probably have paid less due to tax considerations. However, I don't feel I'm out of line asking them to ask HK for a free thread protector.

No kidding. That said, a thread protector seems like something that HK should supply automatically.

Agreed that any threaded barrel should come with a protector. But I don't know why late delivery from a supplier means a dealer should pay for them. Let's be honest if hk was in the business of giving away free thread protectors the pistols we all ordered would already include them.

I agree. Wanstalls made the agreement and needs to honour it. If that becomes impossible then they should bend over backwards to TRY maintain their good reputation. If not their rep may be compromised.

I was thinking HK should provide the free thread protectors, not Wanstalls. But it is HK (we hate you, etc.) so I doubt this will play out.
