Looking at the pictures I suspect it to be a cheaper scope. Reading the advertisment I'm very suspicious.

It seems to be perfect for everything, even cleaning the kitchen sink. Any fine scope is specialized for the task at hand. Only crap scopes claim to be good for everything and everyone. I love the generic "great scope" description. When you don't know what makes a good product just say it's good, excellent or great. It avoids those complicated things like knowing anything about the product.

I'd stay clear of this scope. It may in fact be the scope for "the real chump".

If something is good we generally hear about it, also the reviews tend to support it. IE Falcon scopes right now.

From now on I'll be refering to that scope as "The Jager Meister".
It comes with a 12 pack when you order it right? This would no doubt help with the "optical" clarity :D

Found one on Ebay Canada. 3-9x $182. You can get a Burris Fullfield II 3-9x 40mm for $200. Easy choice there.

Looking at the pictures, it appears that the deer in Deutchland deploy smoke screens to create a fog. Oh wait that's just the optics clarity. :p

they seem to be going for $89-$125 CDN and about 25 bucks for shippind, they claim its $450 Euros but then again thay can suggest anything want for MSRP.

well personally i have purchased one from the ebay seller in frankfurt germany and i am very happy with the "clarity" of the optics ,as i just took a nice 4 x 4 buck at 300 yards with my 30-06 and could dial his face in perfectly at the 24 power level......so in other words yes i am pleased with this scope......as you have to adjust the eyepiece to "your" eyes and adjust your objective for your distance all is clear .......and this is in my perspective and i ain't no "CHUMP"

Fair enough. If it craps out on you though, I'm sure you'll do the honourable thing and tell us right? Too many people are embarrassed later and don't say anything. Which means more people get stung.

Hey if it's a good scope then so be it. Seems like Germany's equivalent to "Tasco" to me. Considering the value of the Euro and the fact that it's not a third world country I'd suggest it's not really made in Germany for that price.

This is one of those cases where I hope I'm wrong. More good products are always a good thing. That being said if it's too good to be true it usually is.

The way the US statedepartment is getting and the cost of scopes here in Canada I think more and more of them will be coming here from over the pond.I guess it will be trail and error

Does it say where the scope is made? "Delivered from Frankfurt" doesn't mean "made in Frankfurt", obviously.... Kind of a lame attempt to mislead, but not actually lying.

It is almost certainly a chinese scope, maybe a re-badged Tasco by the looks of it. So it's probably not a bad deal at that price, but don't expect "european" quality optics either.

Its your standard generic Chinese scope. Same as what Fitco sells for about 80 bucks. If you buy them wholesale you can get whatever you want for a brand name added on for free.

could dial his face in perfectly at the 24 power level

hmmmmm, guess i have been wasting money on Kahles and Ziess. A crystal clear image at 300 yards on 24 power is very difficult to accomplish. Even on a cool day 300 yds of open space around here causes too much mirage for much more then 9 power.

if your saying I can count points at the treeline in this pic. sign me up for the jagear myster.

Well yes i would do the "honourable" thing and tell you if my scope has crapped out but being that i have pounded around 200+ rounds through this scope allready with no ill effects as i hand load all my own and have tested many types of different bullit weights and powder measures and high power scopes.I also have a bushnell elite 4200 4 x12 x 50 on my xcr model 700 in 300 ultra mag and well for the clarity on both of them are equal but my field of view is a better with the jager and well for price ,there is no comparison......and yes i had to count points on my 4 x4 buck as it was 4x4 season only and as soon as i counted 4 on one side the work began........cheerz!
p.s this is only my opinion on this yager scope and mabey i have recieved a scope from the manufacturer that was intensively scrutinized before it left the manufacturer and this is IMHO....:D

I you buy a German scope buy a German scope. Zeiss, Schmidt & Bender, Hensoldt, Kahles etc.

All other clones are made in Asia or Russia.

No name quality German scopes do not exist. If you are still alive in 45 years and you use the same scope it might be a German scope.
