German K98 questions

Hey guys,

I was recently looking at my "AR 43" K98 Mauser, and was thinking at one point in time it was probably restocked, and I would very much like to bring it back to its former glory. I was wondering if anyone knew what stock would be correct for this rifle (laminate/wood, cupped/flat buttplate) and where I could go about purchasing one?

Numrich Arms had them at one time, although the surplus ones where pretty beat. You might find at a gun show. Maybe someone else will have a suggestion.

Some quick points:

laminated
cupped
stock disc
bands would have been milled (upper band would be closed off, and not "H" type.)

WOW! I have been searching for information on this particular factory since I picked the rifle up the fall - you guys rock! So it says my rifle would originally have a laminated stock with a clear resin and a large bolt take down disc... Who has a spare for sale !

Thanks for the offer, I actually just picked up a K98 stock! I actually managed to find the correct laminated stock with the cupped butplate and stock disc. The stock also has the proper stamps! Im amazed really

Haha with your luck it'll show up all matching, and have AH scratched in the side
