My first ever milsurp purchase I made a few months ago is also an early war all matching Kar98k.
I'm really new to the hobby (got my PAL/RPAL five months ago) so I'm not sure if this is cool or not, but mine has the exact serial number as yours CanadianAR.
Is this common with Kar98ks (similar serial numbers)?







 
what are the fawcking odds. 1936 and 1937 same serial number all matching

Is this uncommon? I really don't know lol I was just surprised to see the same number by CanadianAR. Thought he stole my photos for the first few seconds, but then I remembered I never took any photos of mine until now!
