Can't believe anyone would find anything honourable about Germany's conduct in WW1 or WW2. They started both wars, wanted to take over the world with their master race. Millions died because of it. Evil in it's purest form. When in war you fight fire with fire, and they lost.

You sound like you are young, naive or a bigot. Perhaps if you are the former, you just need to read a book or two. Start with how things came about prior to WWI and then afterwards. I can imagine honourable moments in war by all combatants, but nothing at all honourable in war itself.

Don't feel like fighting the war all over again. Am not young, naive or a bigot. You could make a case for WW1, but WW2 I don't think so.

Maybe you can you recommend some titles so that those were alive in WWII can complete their "re-education"?

Say, while you're bringing us all up to speed, can you tell us about any German aircrew who were beheaded by mobs of British civilians, thrown into burning buidings, pitchforked, or hung from lamp-posts by British soldiers?

I'm not sure Hitler was "evil in it's purest form." Stalin perfected that. Don't forget that Hitler learned everything he knew from our beloved ally uncle Joe who tested out everything from the concentration camp to forced labour to manmade mass starvation in TIMES OF PEACE. There wasn't even a war going on to "justify" it.

What I think was honorable were some Eastern European Legions who just wanted to regain their countries' former independene. While fighting for the Waffen SS they defied German commanders and fought Soviets doggedly. That's honorable. Of course the Soviets 'recruited' their fellow countrymen as well and did something not normally done in civilized armies: had them kill eachother in some kind of totalitarian-sponsored civil war.
