Hey. Brenneke is the SLUG. Not the ammo.

Rotweil Exact shotshells use a Brenneke slug.

All you guys are thinking of the Brenneke USA ammo. They make the COOL tactical ammo all you guys want.

i did end up ordering the exact from sportslodge as they are the only ones that i could find it in stock and polite help. No supporting dealer on this site has ever been anything but professional when dealing with for the record but couldn't find a supporting dealer that had them.

Information is troublesome on the exact slugs, and the RWS site is just too cumbersome for my patience lol. I was under the impression that the were the gualandi style like the Challengers which would work similarly to the brenneke.

Either way i ordered them as Sports lodge was honest and friendly. Anyone that knows the full story on the Exact pls chime in.

You're telling me! Its a nightmare to navigate.

They are the gualandi style slugs, but I can't tell you how they perform as I haven't shot mine yet. They are available at several small shops near me who sell RWS ammo.

I got two boxes of these from Reliable last summer. This slug was recovered after passing through some cardboard, snow, bouncing off the gravel road underneath, and ending up back on top of the snow. Not exactly a penetration test, but at least it gives you an idea of what it looks like and how hollow it is.

Any suggestions for a good test medium that I can compare this vs. a regular foster slug, and possibly a homemade solid copper slug in? Since I'm interested in performance for bear protection, and I've seen reference before to a worst case scenario of it glancing off of a bear's angled skull, I was thinking some combination of ceramic tile on an angle, backed with layers of wood and water. Would be easy to make consistent targets and I can get all of those for free. Sorry if this is off track of the thread, but I thought it would be informative since there seems to be a lot of interest in this type of ammo.
