Now I'm not mentioning this because it's a given that the AWB will pass, but rather that the fear will probably shrink firearm inventories in the US even more drastically than they already are. In short: we may be in for a period of short or exhausted supply.

So, tis the season to give. And more specifically, give yourself that AR you've always wanted. And you can tell your wife it's a once-in-a-lifetime investment. Again. ;)
 
If the AR15 is banned in the states it will be a short amount of time until it is banned here as well.

The antis will be plastering it all over the media how "even gun crazy US has banned it" but not Canada. It would be political suicide for any government in power here not to act. Sadly most people here will just see a big scary black gun and want it banned as well.

I'd save your cash.
 
You might be better off buying shares in US gun manufacturers.
Between all the contrived hype over 'tool' control and the manufactured dive over the federal bankruptcy, there is a fortune to be had from shares in the right companies.

I don't have any faith in the Obama administration.

Common sense takes a back seat with them. Especially now that he doesn't have to give 2 ****s about reelection.
 
It has nothing to do with Obama, brother, and everything to do with the citizens of the USA:

1. Even if they did ban the firearm, how could the gov't EVER enforce it?

2. Several States would contest the ruling and take it court, essentially holding it up for at least 4 years.

It will NEVER, EVER happen until public opinion is swayed, and I cannot foresee that happening anytime in the near future.

The Lobby Group secretly funding any drive to do a AWB bill would come from the Manufacturers themselves.

Best way to increase profits. They created the scare 4 years ago, they will do it again. There is too much stock and prices are dropping on ammo and guns.

Apparently, you might have not been aware that another election has taken place recently? Sales were brisk before during, and especially after the election and haven't stopped. The firearms industry didn't want or need the unwanted attention this massacre has brought their way. Their long term survival dpends on such incidents from NOT happening.
 
I was wondering how long it would take for this topic to hit this forum. I'm surprised it didn't happen Friday.
 
AR has way to many players to be banned.

It's touted as Americas rifle and praised as the greatest thing since sliced bread, according to all the firearms literature.
