JJ..........everything is for sale.......for the right price, I doubt you'd be willing to give me even just what I have in it........As far as ugly goes, I know, there is something wrong with that stock wood isn't there, all swirly and mottled and feathery like that. Not near as nice and straight as my Rugers...........:d:d

I have an RCBS Trim Pro case trimmer and the only 37cal pilots I can find locally is Hornady and Lyman. The Hornady will obviously not work as it looks way bigger but the Lyman looks the same. Does anyone know if the Lyman pilot can be used in the RCBS case trimmer?

Yeah I hate any kind of character on a rifle

I don't think they will interchange, at least not in the older trimmers.
My trimmers are old enough to be museum pieces.
For the long cases I use the Lyman trimmer which is same / similar to the current model sold by Lyman.

Anyone with a lathe and an old bolt can make you one in less than three minutes. I had three made for an old Forster case trimmer fifty years ago, and am still using them.

The quality of the bluing job on this gun is very good. Way better than both my CZ 550 and CZ 455. The markings say, .375 H&H, V-serial #, 1983, some proof markings, Made In Germany.

Here it is with its young CZ cousin. The CZ is a 2012 550 LUX in .270win. I want to get the same sling for the Voere but with a Grizzly Bear or Moose instead. I remember when I got that sling there was those options as well as an Elk, and a Wolf. Id like to get a 1-4x24 scope for the .375. Was thinking about a Vortex because their X1 is actually X1 but then again, their 1-4 is meant to go onto a AR.... Are those things going to stand up to the shock of a .375?

nice rifle beginning to like the older items more for there quality. As for scope leupy 2.5-8 would be good also, try find one in that range. I have 1.5-5 on two of them and a 2-10 on the other. The caliber shoots flatter than most people think.

Agreed, nice rifle. The .375 can shoot nearly as flat as some .270 loads. I think a higher powered scope is in order, at least up to 9x. I had a 2-12x Burris on mine and felt that it covered nearly any situation.

I acquired a Blaser in .375 H&H with a Leica 1-6x and feel it could use more magnification. The round is easily capable of 300-400 yard shots, especially with the higher B.C. bullets that are available now.

I was thinking something that has a true X1. Although this rifle is capable of long range shots, the point of this rifle is to hunt moose, elk, deer, caribou, in Grizzly bear country. I always carry my guns on its lowest magnification so with a true x1 if I get a charging bear, Its pull the rifle up and shoot. Vortex 1-4 are all a true X1 but for how often those scopes end up in warranty, I'm not sure if even their Viper would hold up to the shock of the .375. I will need to think about this for a while.

I have a Zeiss Victory Diavari 1-6X40 (I think, it might be 36) on my working 375 and I certainly would not go lower in power. I really like the Leupold 2.5-8 as well.........it is an outstanding all around scope for most big game applications and it's not huge and cumbersome.

Maybe it's the FUDD in me, but there's something wrong about putting a Chinese scope on a nice, classic European wood/walnut M98 rifle in 375Magnum.

Just sayin' :)
