Getting a bear hide tanned.

I'm going to be going for my first black bear this spring. Could someone suggest a good place to get the hide tanned if I get one? Also what should I expect to pay for this service , thanks in advance.

$40/foot - $50 to flesh & bleach skull

Had a small blackie done at Halford Hide a few years back and it ran me $200.00 after taxes.

If you're planning to get it tanned, don't forget to bring along a big bag of salt. You'll want to salt it down good unless it's going in to the shop right away (like within 24 hours or so depending on the temperature) or the hair will start to slip.

Thanks for the responses, I figured I could do the skull, but I would get the hide tanned somewhere. I'll call the Fin and feather before I go and see what they say.
