I've been thinking about getting a custom stock made for my M305 but i don't want one of those EBR stocks... (well maybe not now... something tells me i'm going to buy another m305 one day...)

I'd like a nice wooden one, in laminate. But here are my problems:

  • It needs to be in a M14E2 configuration
  • There must be no pistol grip. Instead, have a spot made toaccept an AR style pistol grip securely

Of course this presents a certain challenge as even if i do get an M14E2 laminated stock (which i know exist), i'd need the grip area to be strong enough to support the grip. So this would likely be a one-off job.

An M14E2 stock has a pistol grip. The stock was designed for use when the rifle was in SAW mode.
A laminate of any custom design will cost long dollars. You have a budget in mind?

Bob Fortier once made me a nice walnut stock for a Norinco M14, but it costed quite a bit more than $300. Your going to have to pony up more money than that. Sorry.

Currently in contact with someone down south from LAW483 to see if they could ship it up here.

Apparently they think they can't when other companies are doing it fine, and they still think its a max of 100$ when they bumped up the maximum to like 500$ not long ago.

You are speaking with Tony... his stocks are awesome.

Is there a link to some official verification on the $500 maximum?

I thought it was $1000 now. Numrich even has it listed on their website:

"•International orders with a purchased parts value that exceeds $200 are not accepted. We do accept orders from Canada with a purchased parts value up to $1,000."

Cheers,

Ian

Great!

Official verification would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Isn't a pistol grip-less M14E2 stock just called an M14 stock?

I'm not being a di*k, I really am curious about what else it can be :p

I shake my head when I see guys wanting a "custom stock" or a "match grade barrel" made.... But it has to be 300 or less LOL
The custom laminate stock my buddy just had made for his bolt gun was 3 times that at 980.00 landed
Cripes, some of the stock blanks I have put away were over 500 each !!
There is a reason many "custom" shops don't bother servicing the "300.00 or less crowd" hehehehe

I'm looking at LAW483.com right now and they are selling stocks that START at 175$ and it goes up from there.

P models (with pistol grip) start at 275$

Me i'm hoping to get the profile of the P model without the pistol grip itself, aka a custom job, which they do make.

eXodus31337: The M14E2 stocks have a different profile to them as you can see here:
