I've been away from IPSC for a few years, but plan to get back into it this summer. Previously I shot a glock 17 in Production, but this time around I'd like something a bit better. Id like to stay in Production for now, so Ive been thinking about picking up a CZ Shadow 2. My budget is $1500. Are there any other recommendations for for IPSC production in this price range that are also great shooters?

Thanks all

I'll bump this up a tad, get a Shadow 2 Optics ready, that way if you ever decide to try using an optic, it's remove two screws, and put the plate and optic of your choice on.

I was under the impression the Optics Ready model does not come with rear sights out of the box. I haven't been able to see one in person and the pictures online are hard to tell. Do you know if they do?

You can't go wrong with the Shadow 2. Run irons or a dot if you choose. Now, if only we could get the proper optic plates that should have been available when the pistol was.

The most flexible solution at modest extra cost - especially if you contemplate even a slightest chance to use red dot. :)

I picked up two of them yesterday they do indeed come with a rear sight, same one as the regular Shadow 2 but mounted in a plate.
