Hi all

I am going to be buying my first rifle & considering the Dlask 701-1, 11.5 & the 701-4 14.5 & also the Armalite LE 15a4, any thoughts on these or anything i should watch out for, would appreciate as much info as can get

Any respectable name will do (i.e. colt,Dlask...)
only complaints i've heard are from the Norinco copies.

I've only seen complaints regarding the ugly furniture that they come in and not the operation of the rifle.

I also hear the Norks have compatibility issues if you want to swap parts.

Never heard a complaint about function, though.

Any of the ABCDD rifles will do just fine. I have a 20" target built on a Dlask CGN lower and I love it.

Just a thought: If this is your first rifle (as opposed to your first black AR-type rifle) you may want to go with the 20" heavy barrel 701. Longer barrel, increased site-radius, arguably better accuracy for a first time shooter and way less muzzel blast; which equates to a more comfortable shooting experience. You can always add a second upper with a shortie barrel later.

If its not your first rifle, then have at it! My next build with be a Dlask lower with a 14.5" and way more rails than I need.

How about the Rock River Arrms ones that are up on the Questar site? Are they a decent rifle. I was thinking about getting one wheni have the cash together.

Any recommendations on which of these two you guys would choose:

Of the two,, I would go with the Elite Carbine. I prefer the mid length gas system,, and the bayonet lug is in the correct spot.

yeah i think i like the look of the mid-length hand guards better. Are RRA's decently manufactured?
