getting frustrated.. WT in northern AB

Didn't see a deer all day lol.. Hunting the fields early this morning and nothing.

Went out sneeked around the trails in the thick stuff this afternoon and nothing.

Sat on the trails which funnel to feilds before sunset and nothing.

Could all the deer be banging in the woods? If so how many days before they are back out?

I dont think so , but they might be
we saw a couple wt bucks ...they dident hang around today ....but the one lost his gf;)

Sometimes its just luck man...

Where abouts in northern AB are you, i see plenty of bucks almost everytime i go out, plenty of decent sized ones to boot.

The area i hunt the rut looks to be wound up, seeing bucks in groups of 3+ the last few times out, hope you connect on one.

Are you aware of the percentage of hunters that ever get a 165 plus animal, or even ever get a crack at one? I'm sure you have heard that old saying " they didn't get to be 165 by being stupid "
Perhaps if you don't get your chance this season you may have to wait till next season. I don't understand why you are frustrated? FS

I'm between Redwater and Conklin area. I hunt places inbetween both.
