Ok, my exercise poll indicates that a large number of you "walk your butt off" (either that or you lie your ass off) .
What are you doing to get yourself in shape?
Me I took a party time job as a licenced farm equipment mechanic, and have taken my bike out to get my wind working again. I rode around the lake at the cottage this weekend  The hills of Haliburton county have not shrunk. In fact, my lungs and legs tell me they have grown.

I usually end up doing lots o wood...cutting..splitting...piling...throwing....X3 or X4 times. Its gotta be done,,,so hard work gets me prepared for humpin those hills.

i get all my exercise running around here trying to locate all my stuff. some reason its never where i thought i left it

Tipping a six pack...

Actually, I've started cutting back on the food and trying to lose a few pounds - it's alot easier to hoof it through the bush when you're not carrying a big belly...

I go hunting to get into shape  Most of my hunting is on foot and found that 3 weeks of scouting got me in decent shape for bow hunting and 2 weeks of that got me in shape for hunting. Hockey just started back up so walking won't be a problem for the rest of the season.

I'm a young gaffer though, as I get older I may actually have to do something in the summer to prepare.

I am a renovation contractor. After slugging cement/ lumber/drywall/plywood/shingles/ whatever all day I really don't feel much like exercising when I get home. I don't really need to either.

I bust my ass riding a bike up a steep hill to a subdivision. It is a wild ride down though.
I hate being out of shape. You never know when you have to pack out an animal.

The hunting season get me into shape. By the end of the November and three months of chasing waterfowl and big game, I've dropped about 20 pounds. I then spend the next 9 months eating through the freezer and putting it all back on  .

I start in July hiking a 5km circuit twice a day.By early August I am doing the same circuit with a 60lb pack on.By late August I am using a 2km steep hill climb with a 30lb pack and 5km with the 60lb pack.I have never got to the 60lb weight on the hill climb as the season always starts before I am in good enough shape.RB

I went hunting this weekend and had to walk in tall grass with rubber boots that were to big for my. Now I am almost out of a tube of A535 because my legs are so sore. So I think I will go on more hikes before the season starts. But untill then anyone know a good massuse?
