getting into IPSC

Check the "Competition Specialists IPSC/IDPA/3Gun/ISSF" subforum. It gives you a few options where to shop. I have dealt with Double Tap Sports 4 or 5 times in the last year and I had great service. They ship really fast.

You need a good inner/outer velcro belt combination (the stiffer, the better). 3 mags is probably fine for the Black Badge course, but you will need a few more for IPSC matches (at least five). I would recommend Ghost holsters (The Thunder) and magazine pouches. I am not sure a mag pouch with a magnet will work with your Glock magazines. A lot of shooters like to have their front pouch fitted with a magnet (it is great for table starts),

Where are you located? Reach out to your [future] BB instructor and ask for access to their provincial online forum. The Alberta forum is pretty busy.

Lots of guys/gals selling and upgrading gear at any given time. A couple more mags, pouches for all of them, a double alpha belt, and a blade tech holster will get you off to races.
 
For IPSC, whereas you already have three magazines, I'd suggest buying an additional two magazines (meaning a minimum of five magazines) and buying at least three magazine pouches.

I often recommend the Blade-Tech Classic OWB - which is good to go - but the cool kids are often heard talking about Red Hill Tactical; Freedom Ventures sells both.
 
To take the course you will need a firearm 9 x 19 or larger, 4 mags (5 preferred), a holster, mag holders, belts, safety glasses, ear protection and 500 rounds of ammunition. You don't need to buy a competition belt, they are just nice to have. CR Speed, Double Alpha are both popular. Mag pouches and holster, Bladetech is always a good choice. I would suggest staying away from the Chinese knock offs. They are cheap for a reason.
 
Ditto on not buying a fancy belt. I've shot IPSC with a USGI surplus Bianchi nylon holster, some 2-mag pouches, and an ex Canadian Forces web belt snapped to my jeans belt. Can't remember the term for the loop straps that hold one belt to the other. I don't shoot to win necessarily, but to train.
 
I've got double tap hardware, never dealt with them directly though. I haven't got my black badge yet but I do drills with the bbgun out back.
 
I took the course June, 2020, just an excellent 2 day course. Have not done a qualifier yet, and I am timed out now so will take the course again, and do a qualifier to certify. Went through 500 rounds. Only 3 of us so we got lots of one on one. The other 2 fellas did not have a good rig or enough mag holders and that really made them stumble through some of the drills. Digging into pockets for mags, holster at wrong height and not the correct type for a good draw, belt not stiff enough. I got everything double alpha, very nice stuff. 5 mag holders was very nice to have. And at least 5 mags. A magnet would have been nice as well but not required for the course. Know your firearm very well, and helps to be a good shooter before you take the course. Lots of Ipsc videos on grip and shooting technique. I asked the instructor if I should practice holstering or learning any of the skills in the book and she said let us teach you first so you do not develop bad habits, made sense. I got my rig from these guys, had fairly good pricing.

Get 5 pouches and bladetech holster, don’t think about equipment anymore. And belt with inner/outer parts. IPSC is expensive and very technical, initial gear investment is negligible.
