Getting into Reloading

Just wondering what you guys think would be best?

I don't want to spend a crazy amount of money on a setup but would like something as simple and good as possible

I will be reloading 9mm to start

How are the Lee Pro 1000?

Extra goodies that i need? Digital scale etc?

if your going progressive dillon or hornady, lee might be fine if you hand prime, scale wise get a balance one , digital is fine if you've got all the toys, check with Vince he's been around & won't BS you. hope your shooting bullseye / ppc, & we'll see how good your reloads are on labour day.

I used a Lee progresive years ago when I was shooting IPSC and was loading large amounts of ammo, it worked well for me. Now I use a Lee turret press with auto-indexing and the auto-powder measure. That works well too.

I can usually do about 200 rounds an hour at best with it which meets my needs. I have never had any problems with Lee equipment. I would recommend the turret press. It's not to expensive and would be a good place to start.

I wouldn't bother with a scale right now.
 
If available, take a reloading course from a local instructor first to really get a handle on what your getting into. Most instructors refund the class fees if you end up buying gear from them.

Dillion is King, Fast but expensive.
Lee is value priced, but requires more cleaning and slower.

Its a big commitment (space, materials, time, storage, and yes... Brass Salvaging (hate to do this but it is an necessary evil :D)
