Getting my first AR- Norc M4?

Do you like shooting? I mean running lots of ammo through you rifle, not just fire 10 rds and go home.

If so, Norc CQ is your choice. Then get one case of Norinco 556....you will be happy.

I am thinking to get a 14.5 Norc myself. My Bushmaster isn't bad. But when I shoot CQB matchs it jams once a while on me.

Its also a good back up rifle if you do go to friendly competitions.

Buy a tonne of ammo, a bunch of mags, a sling, and your choice of optic.

If a Red Dot, Id recommend the Vortex Sparc.

If a Scope, not to versed here, but a Millet is good.

the only people you actually see talking s**t about the norc's are the fools that wasted 3k on their boutique match grade ar's (and let's be honest, those are way too fussy and high maintenance to work in the field anyway) the norc;s are actually pretty reliable, and they are also designed for the 5.56 military load not specifically designed for the wussier .223 , i think everybody forgets that the norinco cq/m4 was originally designed for sale to le/miltary.

lol!!!

Norcs are amazing value. I have put countless rounds through mine with no issue.

Not sure where this myth comes from that they don't take aftermarket parts. I have mine done up with magpul parts head to toe with no problem. They do have a commercial spec buffer tube... But so do many AR's that cost more.

I will admit that the fit and finish is not on par with big names like LMT, DD and stag... But I never feel bad scratching it/dropping it and generally beating it like a red headed step child.

Shoots tight groups and runs smooth as butter.

Only downside is the fairly crappy mags that come with it... But pmags and LAR mags are pretty much essential purchases even with $3k AR's.

Bought my 10.5" used and it was a lemon at first...

With patience, I switched the suspected parts with a buddy who had his Norc on the range that day and found it was the extractor spring.

It costed me $0.35 to replace the spring and she has been running ever since. Put 300 x .223 so far and have had zero problems. An M4 was never meant to be pretty, just ergonomic.

She wears an MOE handguard, short pistol grip, a paddle charging handle, a $15 homemade 3-point sling, and that's it. Light and handy and doesn't require batteries.
