Getting my first AR... Which optic should I get?

My Armalite AR-10T will be used in 3 guns competition this summer, i got it ready with a Hilux CMR 1X4X24, a Vortex skid, a sling, this set up take a lot of weight of the total... JP.

I just got my Bushnell 1-4 throw down PLC and I am quite impressed so far.
Bought a burris PERP mount with QD, to use it on multiple guns.

I like the scope. It's more bulky than I though, but I have never seen any other decent 30mm tube 1-4 scope before so I guess it's the way it is.

At 1x you get a nice red donut, illumination works fine. Small donut, does not hide the target at all.

At 4x you can see the drop lines, but it's still much smaller than I though.

So far it looks good. Will be trying it asap.
 
Mounted it to test.

Adds quite a bit of weight with the mount and scope. Plus you get parallax. I don't know at which distance it's parallax free? I wonder if an eotech would just be a better option. Oh well.
 
The Trijicon 1-4x Accupoint would be my choice for an all-around magnified optic. If you decide to go with a red dot, Aimpoint would be my choice.
