I just bought a new CZ 75 in 9mm, now I have to wait for the paperwork. I have never owned an auto and would appreciate any advice on the do's and don'ts or any tips to make it last a long time.

I'm not sure if you're new to guns or not...if you're new keep these in mind (if not, you probably already know these :) ):
•Field strip and clean it when you get back from the range.
•Leave a little oil (or BreakFree, etc.) in the bore when you store it (and remember to clean out the bore to remove all the oil before you go shooting again! You don't want anything in your bore when you shoot it!)
•Lightly lubricate the slide rails with BreakFree or other lubricant.
•Don't store it in a holster

Good luck with the CZ! It's a fine pistol that will serve you well!

The only thing negative I can think about with a CZ75 is it lacks a decocker. Have someone show you how to lower the hammer safely. I do it by holding the hammer back with my shooting hand thumb, placing my other thumb between the hammer and slide, gently pull the trigger, and lower the hammer. Regards, Richard :D

I own one in two tone and I don't find it a negative that it does not have a decocker.Less things to go wrong.I find it's one of the most under rated pistol on the market. You will like it.Did you get it in two tone?

Good choice. I just sold mine to buy a Sig just for some features I want and to have a new toy, but for the money it is one of the best in the world - hardy, accurate, tight frame. It is better known and used in Europe than North America, but where do some of the best gun designs come from?
Enjoy
