Hi Fellow CGNers,
I am getting my first pistol mailed to me from a dealer here. I do not have a club membership at the moment but planning to join one in the summer.

My questions: is this allow in Ontario ? I want to keep it in my safe until the summer comes, but I would need to pick it up from the post office as it can never fit in my community mail box.

Do I need to contact the CFO about my purchase or apply for a STATT to bring it home ? but I do not know the serial number on the pistol yet.

If anyone has had experience of this type please share with me. All other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Everyone here will tell you to get an ATT but I don't enjoy supporting stupidity so I go to the post office and pick up my mail. I understand getting an ATT is the "right" thing to do for most.

P.S. The dealer has the serial number.

after the dealer submits the transfer request, you will receive a letter in the mail to notify you of transfer approval. shortly after you receive that you will receive your firearm registration paper. both will have the serial number on it.
