Alright, so before I get into the real purpose for this thread, I thought I would give my story about how I got my m14 in the first place. (feel free to skip my heart wrenching story
) I bought an M1 Garand a few years ago from a kind fellow off of CGN here and LOVED to shoot it. If you own an M1 Garand you know the soft but firm push those pretty ladies give, and the famous and fun 'ping' of the clip ejecting from the magazine. I sold it after a short time due to some financial difficulties (I am a student). After a short and awkward tug and pull between me and the seller due to my tight grip on the rifle that I loved so much, my eye immediately turned to the M14 platform. An affordable to buy, affordable to shoot hunting caliber semi auto rifle brought new fill to a seemingly gaping hole where my M1 Garand had been. I eventually bought a tuned shorty which I named "Gale" and it was love at first sight. Soon after, I had seen a shorty with a sage ebr chassis, and I knew I had to dress up my Gale with such a ###y gown
. Now most of my rifles are ladies, and I talk about them like they are ladies. You can call me crazy for it, but it just makes the hobby that much better. Anywho, I recently purchased a sage chassis off of the EE here, and my dream of having my lingerie clad Gale will soon come to fruition.
Now here is the point of this thread. Does anyone know of a gunsmith in Calgary that will do the install properly? I do not trust myself for such a venture as I have never had the timing to be in a city at the same time as an M14 clinic. It kills me to have another man touch Gale, but it must be done
.
Suggestions?
