CCI Subsonic HP - 1050 fps - $11.99 for 100
CCI Std Vel round Nose 1070 fps - $4.99 for 50
Sellier & Bellot Flat tip - 1066 fps - $5.99 for 50
Eley Target (Remington) - round nose - 1085 $8.88 for 50
Eley Club (Remington) - round nose - 1085 $9.88 for 50
Eley Match (Remington) - Flat nose - 1085 $8.88 for 50

Looking through both Sellier and Remington I think my ammo (less the match) are older stock since the packaging is different then what is shown online.

If I get a chance to get some Lapua I will but no one in the Moncton are has some.

I have some fun shooting ahead and looking forward to see if My rifle will perform better with the more $$$ stuff.

shoot your 22 at 100 yds no wind ...10 shot groups do not measure worst 2 holes in group then you will see clearly what your gun likes please post results don

I haven’t tried shooting my 455 at 100 for groups, I shouldn’t say it doesn’t like Eley, I should say it prefers SK. Eley club, match etc were averaging around .5 to .8 center to center with a 5 shot group at 50 meters ( not terrible) the SK rifle match and SK Pistol match were grouping fairly consistently at .3 to .4 center to center at 50 meters with a five shot group.

Looking forward to seeing your results. Wish I could find some CCI Standard Velocity locally. Next order from Tenda I will get some. I'm shooting a Savage Mk II and from everything I've read the Standard Velocity seem to do quite well especially considering the price.

Once you get some it will probably be your daily driver LOL

My "target" bolts shoot CCI SV well enough so I haven't needed to try any of the more exotic/expensive stuff. The price is good too.....

I tried a few different brands through mine, and for overall accuracy and consistency the CCI standard works best for me, The rifle didn't like the Eley too much .

Please shed some light on the purpose here. If only 8 shots are to be used , then why not just shoot 8-shot groups ?

CCI SV is also what I mainly use since I can buy in bulk at reasonable prices and it seems to give me better results then all other non ''premium'' ammo.
Aguila Subsonic also give very good results and reasonably priced, however they are difficult to find in Canada.
