Do you guys know what is the best place to get
powder, brass, bullets in the GTA.

LeBaron does not have any powder in stock, BassPro has
only few IMR boxes.

Where do you (the GTA) reloders get your stuff?

Please help out...I'd like to get going but what
I see in the manuals and what is (or not) on the shelves
of LeBaron and BassPro makes me wonder how to sustain
this "reloading stuff".

I'm planning to reload .308, like 100-200/week,
but I need a good source for powder and bullets.

Higginson Powder in Hawksbury does mailorder, Andrew is excellent to deal with. He stocks Lee equipment, IMR and Hodgdon powders and Hornady bullets.

Williams arms in Port Perry has all you need and they know about what they sell, tell 'em Ben sent you and you might get a discount, then again, it might get you kicked out!!

Epps has just about everything you need and if they don't they can probably get it for you. There staff is excellent and will mail it to you if need be.

What about Lawry's in Caledonia for powder and primers. I was there yesterday and they have a whole building full of primers. I mean skids stacked 4 ft high with every type of federal primer, except for 210M:mad:

Powder: For small quantity I go to Le baron (they don’t always have them in stock). For 8 lbs kegs I buy from Lawry. I buy them in bulk.

Primer: Le Baron usually has them in stock. I keep a min quantity of 300 for each type. When they drop below 300 I buy another box. That way I would run out of primer.

Bullets: Le Baron supplies my Hornady bullets (if they have them in stock). If I need Barnes, I order them from SIR or Wholesales. Lucky enough I stocked up on Nosler Partitions that will last me the next few years.

Williams prices are higher and they don’t have good selection. Epps is not cheap and they are just too far. Mail order (other than for powder and primer) seems to work well for me.

This is a sad story that the largest city in Canada has no reliable supplier for hand loading. This is true.

which Lebaron do you go to?

I drive from KW to the GTA to load up at Lebaron.

They always have what I need. They have the best price on primers anywhere in Ontario.

Also if I do go north I always stop by Epps!!

Higginson I just started to order Bullets from and service was top notch!

Lawry sells those 8lb kegs in original containers?

I ordered some powder from Higginson, but it all came in plastic bags, repackaged. Not sure if I should use this powder as it kinda looks grey.

Cheap, $161 per 7lb plastic bag, but not black.

I have spoken with Andrew and he only sells quality powders, brought into Canada in bulk and then repackaged. Even with his surplus powders, he will not sell powder from unknown sources or with an unknown history.

Yes, original container in deed! The last 8 lb keg of Varget cost was $145 or $18.13/lb. Le Baron sells them at $24.72/lb.

I use CCI primers (from Le Baron) exclusicely.

I "pulled the trigger" too fast :) Assuming the stuff from Higginson does work,
I'll buy the next batch from Lawry's. Cheaper and in original containers.
