Getting rid of reloaded ammo

So i was cleaning out the safe because i'll be getting married and moving soon and I don't want to take any firearms or ammo to the new place. Im looking to get rid of everything I have, but I don't know what to do with reloaded ammo?

Can anyone help me out?

Can I help you out? Absolutely not...because I wouldn't take your old lady off your hands for anything! Getting rid of everything? No guns or ammo? That's demented!

I told my g/f that I was into guns on our first date, and if she had an issue with it, I'd end the date right there and be happy to drop her off at home. 2 and a half years later, she still has no interest in getting her PAL (too many other expensive hobbies) but she absolutely has no grief with me spending money on gun stuff. If it weren't for the small fortune I've spent recently on motorcycle parts and reloading components (higher priority for me right now) I'd have picked up a rimfire pistol for her to plink away with at the range.

Get her a nice .22 that she picked out and don't be polarized on hobbies. You'd be rewarded many times over when sharing with your partner.:bigHug:

It just dawned on me...Why Not?'s wife should open a finishing school for these Britneys that try to get their menfolk to stop hunting and shooting. She could teach them about hunting, camping, cooking and such.

I'm ####ing brilliant!

It's one of the reasons why said rimfire is most likely going to be a GSG1911 or a Sig 1911-22. She didn't like the feel of the Buckmark near as much, and she really didn't like the Ruger or Beretta. If the price was lower on the browning baby 1911s, I'd be getting one of them for her.

For the most part we already do too much stuff together. Her camera stuff and my gun stuff is the perfect opportunity for both of us to have some "me" time away from each other. A lot of couples forget that "me" time is just as important as "we" time.

know the feelings but when my GF then said that she hates guns and they have to go, told her guns are staying whether she likes it or not. Either she accepts them or not, it is her choice, but she cant force or tell me what I like or don't like. Plus taking her to the range made a huge difference. She still hates guns, but she understands my hobby. We are getting married in July and the gun collections grew and the bike (this as well) are staying.

To answer the question. Easiest way to dispose of any unwanted ammo is to just call the cops. Tell them your plans/predicament and they will be there to help you out. Have it waiting at the door when they show up and collect the property receipt when they take your unwanted items.

To offer a unsolicited opinion. If this decision is yours and not made under duress then the best of luck with your future plans. If this decision is made because of conditions, threats or promise's of #### star ###, run and never turn back. Three wives, four kids, five moves, six jobs and I still have most every firearm I have ever acquired.

Except that will get you a file in CPIC under a firearms incident. I know this cause I turned an old receiver in a few years ago and later when I got a speeding ticket the cop was all wiggy with me. When I asked why he said I had a firearms reference on my file. I was not impressed to learn that.

Its truly sad how whipped some people are.

Yup....if she can't handle your passions then why the hell are you marrying her?

As an aside though, go do one last huge all day range day. Shoot every last bit of ammo you own then sell the guns to a gun shop smoking and dirty ;)

A gopher was crossing a busy hiway, when he almost got to the other side a semi ran over his tail. he whipped around to see what happen when the rear wheels ran over his head.
The moral of this story is, don't lose your head over a little piece of tail.

Wife won't let you have firearms? Or did your man license expire? I'd tell you where you can put it but they don't allow that kind of language here. Bet you can guess though. :)

Some time after 11-18-2012 by the looks of his prev posts .

I really like this one from 10-17-2012 ;)

Its sad that some married men need permission from their wives.

God forbid we tell a woman how to spend her money, we would be called control freaks.

Lots of guys who don't get much ### will agree to ANYTHING just to keep getting regular bonking. It's like food for a starving man, they need it regardless of the cost. Given a couple years these guys usually grow some new balls and realize they married the wrong woman and then they spend the rest of their lives paying support. Pussy whipping has wrecked more lives than drugs and alcohol combined. :0
