Getting sighted in for gopher season.

Well i am home sick with the “Rona” apparently. I feel
Off but not that bad obviously.

Thought I would get the 22s dialed in for upcoming gophers.
Shooting at 50m with a bi-pod at a table.
Little bit of air movement but not bad at all.





First up is my Dlask/Kidd 10-22 with a VX3 4.5-14x40AO
Seams to like the standard velocity best



Second up is a CZ452 LUX with a Fx4 Leupold.
Likes Mini Mags pretty good.
Top centre group was the last to set the leg and right
When it’s had the other scope that’s on the 10-22 it grouped under 1”.

Oops did the math on the CZ wrong. Forgot their was 6 groups not 5. lol.

Are there good/high volume gopher spots in BC? Not asking for your spots, I just don't hear much about gopher shooting in that province. Richardsons?

By law in BC they can only be hunted on private property. Richardsons are the ones found on the prairies, in BC, at least where I have been they are Columbian ground squirrels. And no, nothing, nothing like the volume on the prairies. If not careful you can easily decimate a patch in a day.

A few ranches let me hunt. One is 1500+ acre. I’ve had some 150-200 days.
10 yrs on that property and it don’t seam to put a dent in them.

Yes it’s is dragging it feet.
But they are out in a few spots around here so far.

Just hope I didn’t book holidays for bear hunting too soon. Lol.
