Hey all,

I have a brand new Coyote Enhanced ACR about the be delivered, and for those of you with ACRs I have a question.

Has anyone tried to get some spare parts (spring, extractors, firing pins, etc) from Bushmaster? Talking to the guys on ACRforum.com, people in the States have had decent luck ordering directly from Bushmaster as long as you can spoonfeed the customer service agent part numbers.

For those of us in Canada, how would we go about this? Do we need to go through a dealer like Woverine? Perhaps the importer directly? What say you?

Shoot safe,
Steve

Tagged for interest. I'm thinking about getting one of these too. What would really seal the deal for me is a 300BLK barrel option.

For anyone interested, these are the parts and part numbers I'm going to try to get:

F1000687 ACR Op Rod Spring
F1003206 ACR Taper Pin
F1000141 ACR #8 Belville Serrated Washer
F1006807 ACR Guide Block Screw SCHS #6-32
F1000085 ACR Guide Block Screw
F1009140 ACR Lock Ring Srew BHCS Torx #8-32
F1009147 ACR Firing Pin Titanium
F1000149 ACR Firing Pin Retaining Pin
F1900106 ACR Firing Pin Spring
F1000284 ACR Bolt Stop
F1000091 ACR Bolt Stop Pin
F1000281 ACR Bolt Release Paddle
F1000891 ACR #8 Rail Screw

It's mostly small parts, and should come up to about $60 (so like $120 for Canadians) if the numbers from the ACR Forum guys are correct.

Interested to see what you find out. My Questar non restricted ACR has been running great, but spares never hurt...

Where did you get enhanced ACR in coyote? I have been looking everywhere only in black.

I ordered it special from Woverine. I placed my ordered it in August, and it just arrived at woverine last week. I was informed that it would take a while, so it was no surprise that it took 4 months. Still, I was really tempted to just fold and buy a readily available black one, but I held strong. I still haven't seen it as I'm in Afghanistan for another few weeks.

On another note, I had an idea in my head for a future plan down the road. I want to get my hands on anther ACR upper. This will allow me to legally have two rifles as the upper is the serialized part (one registered restricted, and one non restricted). I would have 10.5" and an 18.5" barrel assembly built (or bought from Bushmaster if they ever come out with them) for the respective rifles.

The uppers would stay attached to their barrels, but every other part (handguard, lower, BCG, stock) could be swapped between them. This would give me a nice light(ish) 10.5" ACR for range use, and a non-restricted 18.5" for field use.

Of course, the only way right now to get an upper is to buy the whole gun. In that scenario, I would buy another ACR and then sell off everything but the upper, barrel assy and gas block assy. Would anyone be interested in buying a complete ACR lower, stock, handguard and BCG? I would ballpark the prices at $1000 for the lower and trigger, $350 for the BCG, $100 for the stock and $75 for the handgrip, leaving me with a cost of about $1300 to get my hands on an upper, barrel and gas assembly, plus the cost of the barrel length conversions for each upper.

This would be a very expensive project, but something I would do over the next couple years.
