I have decided that I need to get into reloading to cut down costs so I can shoot more. I am thinking about getting a progressive, the Hornady LNL. What do you guys think about starting with a progressive press. I plan to reload 223, 9mm, 45ACP, 308. I have zero experience with reloading. I am really nervous about it as well, but I have been reading for about 6 months.

How much shooting do you do? Only benefit I can see to going progressive is speed, only necessary if you do alot of shooting. For myself, a single stage is plenty, but I don't shoot handgun, only rifle.

I am also considering the time it takes as well.........its worth something to me. Also I want the quality you can make by rolling your own.

Yes go with the Hornady LnL you will love it, its not hard to set-up and change over calibers, the price is right if you get it from the US... If you still want to get in on the free bullet deal you will have to find one today, I saw a few at Shooters Choice yesterday but they were a little pricey...

Shoot me a Pm when you get it I will come down and help you set it up, thanks again for the Troy rail for my AR it works great....:D

JOJO, I think I will take you up on your offer. That is much appreciated. I will provide the beer and pizza.

Glad you like the Troy Rail. Its a nice piece of kit.

How much are they at Shooters Choice. I am prob not gonna buy one till spring as I wont be home anyways.....damn military messing with my shooting time lol

They were $629 if I remember correctly, I got mine from Bass Pro for $399 us plus $25 to ship it, with the strong dollar it was the way to go...

Don't worry about finding components I usually have lots and can bring some with me when your ready...I load for .233, 9mm, 38, 357mag, 40&w and 45acp...Talk to ya soon...
