Hey

Looking to see who does the re-working of these pistols, I have been told that the gentleman will grind off and fill all norinco stampings, re-machine the rough edges and do a 3.5# trigger job for like 100$ or something? is that right?

Does anyone have any pictures of this re-work? would love to see the final result.

If he posts here, and is reading this, I have a question for him.
Do you re-blue it?
Can I ask for a lighter bluing?

Thanks for your time!

Before and after up close pics would be awesome of anyone actually has a set.

I refinished my Norc with Duracoat this past winter after I filed down all of the sharp edges. HK Black for the slide and Stainless Steel for the frame. Before painting it I ground off the Norc stuff on the frame and the slide excepting of course the serial number. Gunnar did a tune up on it last summer and after that I wanted a 1911 that looked as good as it shot so here it is:

Hmmm...it is good for a trip to Gunnar but not wise to ground off the Norinco logo. In third world or most of the Asian country. Norinco is one of the most famous brand name gun. In Hong Kong ten out of ten Criminals use Norinco handgun to do their BUSINESS:D

Actually, the whole point of grinding off the name for me is to keep people guessing

If I were to get it refinished and it turned out like that in the above pic, get a match barrel, bushing, tight firing pin stop with a properly tuned extractor it would be an amazing pistol.
People would never have any idea what the base was :)

Those pics are awesome btw, thanks for sharing.
