Getting the rouge off

So I use the Lyman nutshell and rouge media to polish my brass. How do you guys normally get the damn rouge off after. I usually put outbon a milk jug with hot water and dish soap and shake. Takes a while though.

What are your methods to washing after using the red stuff.

Ps. I have the rcbs normal media. Should I just switch?

I use regular nutshell with a couple handfuls of the rouge media added gives shiny results without having to worry

You can also tear up a couple of dryer sheets and throw them into your tumbler. They will collect a fair amount of the dust/rouge.

An Ultrasonic cleaner removes rouge in seconds and leaves very bright and shiny brass. Allow brass to dry appropriately.

I just wipe the outside of the case off. It doesn't have any negative effects on the inside or ignition.

My method is to fix the rouge to the polishing media. I do that with Meguiars Deepcrystal Polish Step 2 bought at CT. I start the brass tumbler and squirt it around the circumference of the polisher twice. This attaches the rouge to the media and that takes care of the rouge coming out on the brass. Let it run for 20 minutes to mix and your good to go. Also using the Meguiars occasionally has kept the media polishing for 2 years or in excess of 10000 brass before changing.
