Does anyone here video tape your hunt? How do you mount your camera? On the rifle or on a helmet or something? I would be interested in recording my hunt this Fall and I would like to do a little bit of research on the topic beforehand.

All of the hunting footage I currently have recorded has been by having more than one person. I don't know of a mounting system that would work for a spot and stalk type hunt. I've looked through the sunglasses with a camera built in but the position of my head at full draw wouldn't allow it to show the shot being taken.

I tried it a little and come to the conclusion that it is just another thing to spook or alert game to my presence, and it is one less thing to worry about when you are trying to get a cautious old buck to come closer to your position. ;)

Agreed though that a second person could help film, but that is also one more person to make noise.

The only successful video I've captured wasn't overly successful. I had a good mule deer at 38 yards and wasn't comfortable shooting through the brush he was laying behind so I grabbed the camera. I honestly missed my opportunity for a shot while recording... It all turned out in the end though as my cousin's fiance bagged him with a muzzle loader a few weeks later.

It might be difficult to get the angle right to capture your shots. If you can pull it off let me know! The mounting shouldn't be overly difficult as the majority of cameras have a standard bracket on the bottom.
