Hello All,

I have a Gevarm E1 with a missing peace.
It is this peace at the end of the recoil spring called a rimmed end mass.
It looks like a screw with not threads at the end of the spring.

I can't upload an image. But if someone knows the part and has one for sale please contact me. Or if someone can make one for me.

Thank you

Rocco

We used to swap it from one end of the spring to the other... thus either adding the weight to the block or removing it, but the it still guided the spring.

If some one can measure what they have and post it (dimensions and weight) just about anyone with a lathe could make it.

That's not the part I'm speaking of .
It the smaller spring that goes inside the bigger spring that moves the action.
I will upload a picture as soon as i can.

Thank you for your help

Mine doesn't have the little plug that you indicate in the photo, and it works just fine. If it's malfunctioning I would look for some other cause.

Okay I will look Thank you

I have to give this a really good clean. It was handed down and I can't find much information in line.
The picture was from a Gevarm owner that showed multiple parts and the was the only part the one I am working on didn't have.

How did you get that part out?

I am not that familiar with this firearm.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Rocco

Thank you for the information.

This guy is missing the buffer spring & guide altogether. The pieces just slide apart, except the little buffer spring. It's so tight on the guide rod that I would consider it captive.

I saw that vid and when I look down the chamber it needs a really good clean and removing the buffer spring looks hard.
Just wondering how you removed it.
The spring I could pull out how does the guide come out?

Thank you for all the information.

If you reference my first photo, the buffer spring is the smaller one and seems to be fixed to the guide... at least mine is so tight I have no inclination to try to take it off. If you want to clean it, scrub it with an old toothbrush dipped in oil.

The small tube is the reversible part... the rim can either go on the buffer, or it can go in the bolt. If you put the rimmed end in the bolt it adds mass and is used for shooting high velocity loads. All the pieces just slide together, except for the stupid little spring.

I cannot get that buffer spring guide out. I would assume it just pulls out.
I even removed the stock to see if something was behind it.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you

Rocco
