I have a Gevarm 22 . Not really sure which model but it has a heavy barrel says made in France and automatique on the the reciever. It is a real beauty with nice wood and a gevarm 4 power scope. anyone know where I could get some info as far as what model it is as well as value?

If you have the mag for it, I've seen them go for $300 at the gun shows. With a Gevarm scope, maybe a bit more. Do you have more than 1 mag? I have a Gevarm, but I still havn't found a mag yet.

Dave C,
Craige at A.C. Douglas in Saskatoon had a couple mags for Gevarms a while ago. One was brand new in the package. There is a good chance that he might still have one, if you gave him a call.
There are quite a few Gevarms floating around Toontown, mostly because they used to assemble them here, "Made in France" stamping not withstanding.

The scope is a rarity - first i've heard of one.

theree are two models- one is takedown and the other has a 1 piece stock. the mags for each are NOT compatible. The takedown one accepts the 20 round mags. You can make the solid stocked one accept the 20 rounders by dressing out the magwell but its probably better (and less sacrilegious:( ) to buy a takedown one.

If yours has a globe front sight you can unscrew the screw at the base of the pistol grip and find different front sight inserts in the compartment.

I would say $250 to $350 depending on condition. Yours sounds like a nice one with the scope and extra mag. The short mags I guess would be $50 to $80 (been out of the market a while so I may be off ) and the 20 rounders are around $150 each. (supply and demand- what can I say:mad: )

Thanks for the replies guys. In doing some more research I THINK mine is an A6 target model. Both the mags are 8 rounders . I picked it up off another hunting site about 4 years ago for $150 and when I saw how nice it is I rarely shoot it. It does shoot well though I have put 10 shot groups @ 25 yards that a dime will cover with cheap PMC Zapper ammo. Nice to know there is some value there .

I have one :D
My father bought it in 1951, because we were living in Morocco and there was some turmoil brooding.
It is still a beautiful little rifle with a heavy stepped barrel and round crowning with larger diameter muzzle end to admit an interchangeable insert globe sight. The inserts are stored in a recessed container in the underside of the pistol grip.
Stock is walnut with a very nicely done fine checkering and Schnabel front.
The action is grooved for scope mounting. It has a 10 round mag.
PP.

Bog,
Yours may be an A-6 with the usual sights, an A-3 with the target sights or an A-7, same as the A-3 but fires from a closed bolt i.e. it has a firing pin and an extractor.

Perv, any pics?

my gevarm model E2 or E1 I don't know how to tell the difference is out getting a refinish job
I can't wait to get it back
I have the standard 8 round clip as well as two 33 round clips

the old girl was given to me by my Dads uncle , I don't think it has been fired in over 25 years maybe more it's pretty rough too
Oh well the gunsmith will bring it back to life
