For 30.06,it's a couple of grains heavier than even Federal,so don't go using it in place of Winchester.I got 18 reloads of a mild 300Savage level loading before a neck split.not match quality,but good for "bang".
I bought some 7X57 Gevelot from Higginson a few years ago. The stuff I got was badly tarnished and corroded. Another thing is that the flash hole was very small, I started to open these up with my uniforming tool but got disgusted and quit after a hundred or so. Higginson's offered to make good on it if I wasn't satisfied, but I sold the rifle (Brno 600 with the built in peep!) brass and bullets to a friend who was looking for a rifle for his kid.
