Hey guys,
I've got a chance to buy a G41, Waffen stamped, not sure which manufacturer. It seems complete, matching and condition I'd say at 60 to 70%. Sorry, no pics yet.

There isn't many comparables out there, what's a fair $ on this... in Canada?

Thanks!

I haven't seen a G41 for sale in Canada during the last few years. G43/K43's only come on the market about 6-12 times per year, so you are right finding a comparable is difficult.

Take US prices and add 20%.

Probably depending on condition etc. $1500-4500 (I know that is a big gap). If anything is missing it will be hard to replace and my quote is from US prices. You can always import a G41 for about $300 and the prices are quoted above are some US prices I have seen.

Go to the g43forum and get their opinions on US pricing.

There's 2 variants of those rifles The first is the G41(M), made by mauser. To load the first round, the cocking handle is worked like a bolt action rifle. Those are extremely rare, about less than 7000 produced , price are 8000 to 9500$. The second rifle is the G41(W) designed by Walther produced at the "DUV"(Berlin-Lubeck Machine factory) contract was supposed to be for 70000 rifles. Price range from 1500-5000 depending on condition. Those look similar to the G43 but still very very rare rifle. I bet the 1 you look for must be a G41(W)? Ayway, parts for thoses 2 models are very very hard to find, not sure if some parts are same as the improved version, the G43.

What's the sellers asking price since he's in the drivers seat?
Post pics and make sure it is all complete internal and external as the gas system is complex. Condition, Completeness and Originality will determine price.
Does it have a scope rail machined above the receiver, or is it the model without the rail? Any WaffenAmts and Numbers stamped in to the stock or not there?
Any Modifcations, Sanding, Reblueing?

The rarer the gun, the more it's like buying antiques or baseball cards, where condition and authenticity are everything. Patina, rarity, condition, markings, matching parts, popularity with collectors and accesories will determine value.

It comes down to three things: condition, condition, condition. You are not going to find parts for it at the local Canadian Tire, so if incomplete gauge your price accordingly. A "representative example" can still be that 20 years down the road with no parts available. Quality complete arms are worth what you pay at the time...
"you never pay too much for quality,..... you just buy too soon"

He's waiting for me to make an offer, or i may just sell it for him.
It looks complete and untouched, not sure about the rail.
I did see a few Waffen eagles but don't recall numbers... I honestly didn't really know what I was looking at... German stuff isn't my bag.
I'll go back and take some pics and then you fellas can critique the he77 out of it!;)
