I saw one of these not too long ago, and was curious about it but couldn't get any info. It had an old mauser action and receiver (and stock), but had been somehow modified for .22LR. The barrel was marked Remington.

Anybody have one? Any idea of fair value to pay for one?

Israeli training rifle. Barrel made by Remington. I would assume that the conversion was done in Israel.

I have one. There are a few around. Mine came from Tinman204, shoots like a dream. I had it in my military display at the Regina show. Got a fair bit of attention.

Lately, when they come up for sale, I have seen them between $600 and $800. A couple friends have one. They are good shooters and lots of fun. Don't worry about the sloppy bolt when it is open.

Sold one 4 weeks ago for 450$. Was needed 3 days on EE to sell.

Yep, got one (A Kar98A). Love it! They have a bigger following in the US and command higher prices there, but Why sell it? They are a pretty neat rifle and have a longer service life than a Sea King Helicopter.

I noticed the one on the EE a few weeks ago, but I was too late. It would have been nice to get it. It was only 2 numbers off from mine. (212 vs. 214) Dang it!!!
