I am currently looking for these two items to match up with my Gewehr 88/05 but since this is my first time looking for anything that dates back before my Gewehr 98 and accessories, I wanted to ask here and see what my chances would be for acquiring these items and roughly get a price range idea.
I can already suspect that the bayonet will not be cheap but the Gewehr 88 originally could take the bayonet types that were used on the Gewehr 71 (the front band is identical). The one I was looking at getting is the Seitengegewehr M.71/84 bayonet, which according to my reference book, was standard issue for the Gewehr 88s.
The sling should not be as difficult as it is the same sling used on the Gewehr 98. I am hoping for original, not reproduction pieces, but again wanted to get an idea of general availability and price range.
