The very little bit I know about levers tells me that this would probably cause more wear on latch pin and the upper receiver channel. It's also absolutely not necessary.

cool! dont know about long term durability, snags, etc but it is neat, I can see some problems developing though

$150 retail tho! wont be paying that

Personally I'd rather buy a new upper with a milled slot just below the top rail and a special charging handle. For about $200, roughly $150 for the upper and another $50 for the charging handle?

I prefer the side charging handle up front in the handguard. The ADCOR one works really well. This one is too close and negates a lot of the advantages.

What does it solve? The ADCOR one allows you to lock your bolt open with your weak hand side only. Allows you to rack the rifle when prone far easier and if you have a large scope or Eotech with 3X then you can easily rack the rifle unlike the conventional charging handle on the AR.

I'd rather spend the $90 on a Rapter charging handle than this after market side charger. If going for a side charger it should be part of the design not a cheesy add on.

That will put a lot of sideways torque on the charging handle. It's like a lot of fishing lures. They aren't meant to catch fish as much as they are meant to catch the person buying them

I'm not an engineer but I was thinking the same thing. It looks to me like the torque on that charging handle would eventually cause it to warp and possibly bind. Could be wrong but it just looks weak to me.
