Ghost loading legality?

I would argue that a ghost load is similar to the way belt Feds work and shouldn't count towards capacity.. I'd argue that a shotguns tube mag shouldn't even be classed as a mag as the mag does not load into the action, the ghost loaded round is actually the proof of this

The laws are based on what they are "designed" to hold. Yours is made to hold 5 3" shells, so your good to go.

No it holds 4 3 inch chells the 5 won't fit in the tube drives me nuts... It says it can hold 5 rounds online I'm not sure if they're counting the 1 in the chamber or not...

but I can cram in 7 2/4 shells 5 in the tube 1 in the chamber 1 on the follower loading the chamber.

If you really want to get whacky...
put a magazine extension on your gun, make sure its permanently limited to 5.9 3" shells (can't hold 6 3") and your gun will have a capacity of 8 2 3/4" shells and be legal.
6 in the magazine, one in the chamber, and one ghost loaded.
Although I would suggest against ghost loading. As previously discussed, it is evil and potentially harms kittens.

It has the extension on it already has a white plastic block I have a feeling it can be hammered out with a punch if you really wanted too the spring is also cut. I just don't like how they say 5 on the site and it holds 4....

If your waterfowl hunting, you better have only 3 in your shotgun. Ask Foiles. If not waterfowl hunting, have fun. Some places also limit what your shotgun can have in it, while bird hunting.

Here's a fun theoretical question - what if your 3 1/2 inch chambered semiauto shotgun magazine will hold 5.9 x 3 1/2 inch shells, but you load 2 3/4 inch shells AND you ghost load? Are you breaking the law? or not? If you aren't breaking the firearms act, are you simply creating a wormhole of fun that will suck the entire universe into your silly grin after pulling the trigger 'til you hear click?

All this talk about ghosting shotgun shells is probably brought on by a severe lack of magazine capacity due to restriction of freedoms :(

We need to dump the 3.5 inch shells and focus on designing the new 7 inch Super Duper Magnum! Then you could chamber a reasonable amount of 2.75" shells without having to ghost Chit!

I'd be good with 5 rounds of 5 1/2" Duper Magnum. The "Super" Duper is just overkill
