I've got practically zero experience with either of these holsters. Right now I'm using an M&P 9m in a Bladetech but I'm moving up to Standard Division with a CZ 75 TS and need a new holster.

Which of the two , Ghost or CR Speed, would you rather and why?

Sorry if this has been asked here before.

To be honest I wouldn't go to either unless you are shooting Open, I'd stick with a Bladetech, get a new one to fit the CZ and you are good to go.

Nothing wrong with a Bladetech but if your spending money...
I have both (CR for 2011 & Ghost for revolver) and I've just replaced my CR with a new Ghost.
There's almost nothing to the holster but it is a vise on the gun with the lock on.
The CR is OK but Ghost is better IMO.
YMMV though.

ghost is a smaller overall and easier to unlock while drawing compared to the CR. I find that the CR holds the gun a bit more solid then the Ghost. But that issue has been addressed by a friend and is in the prototype phase at the moment. Had a CR, went to Ghost, then used a Blade Tech.

If your left handed the ghost makes a dedicated one, l have both and had to modify Cr and it put the release inside.

I think what it comes down to is fitment with either of the race holsters you mentioned. I prefer the Ghost for my tanfoglio, as I can use it with either my production Stock2, Standard division LImited Custom, or Open division .38super with NO adjustment necessary. With the ghost, you can adjust the little white screws and then blue loctite them for a more solid fit. Also with the ghost you can put a weaker or stronger spring in the behing the ball. I would NOT recommend a lighter spring, as I have seen guns fall out or get knocked out from unlocked Ghost holsters. CR would be better if you are just using it for one type of gun (ie: OPen, or Standard gun, or production gun.). It does not take long to adjust the length of the hanger to switch back and forth to accomodate different barrel lengths. IMHO, the CR would be much more "secure".

left or right hand makes a massive difference too, CR only makes one model, so if you're left handed unlocking it sucks. DAA is a similar design to the Ghost but the lock isn't as easy to hit. A real nice feature of the DAA is the locking mech, which is gun specific, is modular so you don't have to buy a whole new holste or try to find the right shim combo for a different gun. you just unscrew the locking block and put the new one in. All four of the mentioned brands are qulaity products, so it comes down to preference, try and get you hands on them before you decide, what looks good in an add may not feel or work right for you in use

Seeing as the CZ Tactical Sport has the painted (???) frame, I suggest staying away from the Ghost Holster unless you don't mind that steel ball rubbing off the paint. I used the CR Speed one for years with no issues, and no lost paint.

Thanks for all the info guys! I was leaning towards the Ghost holster, but after Dan-O-Mite mentioned the steel ball rubbing the paint I'm not so sure anymore, lol. With my M&P I'm not quite so concerned with blemishes, buy the CZ TS is a nice looking gun and I'd kind of like to keep it that way, lol.

DAA Racemaster +1

something you may want to consider is the Ghost stinger. I think I will be getting one to replace my bladetech. (it melted out of shape) tried remolding it...did not work that well.

Thanks for all the info guys. I came across a good deal on a Ghost holster that was too good to pass up. I guess I'll know soon enough if it's going to damage the finish on the TS or not, lol.
