Ghost Ring Sight Removal Mossberg 590

I have a 590 with ghost rings, and I bought one of those 14 inch barrel kits. The 14 has a bead sight. I want to run it with a bead sight so the rear sight is coming off. It does not look hard, but it will leave 3 holes on the top of my receiver. Any ideas on where I can get screws to fill them in. Or do I even need to fill them in?

I'd fill them, as leaving them empty would drive me nuts; can't comment on whether or not it would cause any functional issues. Take one of the existing screws used to mount the rear sight into a fastener store and match the threads.

threads are 8-40. You want the self-stopping plugs.

You can run it without them but You'd want to fill them to keep dirt out.

Since a lot of guys mount rails to flat top versions, you might get lucky and have some kind soul offer you the plug screws they aren't using any more.
