After doing a search on previous thread I decided I wanted to get some ghost ring for my Marlin .444. I decided on the Wild West as my fist choice and the XS as my second. I contacted Backcountry, the Canadian distibutor for WW. They told me that they won't be getting any WW products due to the export restriction. They said that they knew it wasn't good news since XS just announced they won't be exporting anymore either. The XS announcement was also confirmed when I called TSE, they didn't have the model I wanted in stock and they were liquidating whatever they had left.

I got lucky and found a set but nothing will coming in anymore for a while.

Just a heads up.:(

Thanks, they look pretty good and they were going to be my third choice. Got a set of XS on the way.

Brownell's will ship XS Sights to Canada.

I concur with the Skinner Sights recommendation. The XS front sight is too thick for my liking, whereas the Skinner front sight is much thinner.

My understanding is that if the companie (XS Sights) doesn't have the proper paperwork filled with their government, their products cannot be exported by themself or anybody else, including Brownells. Even if they could, the model I wanted was over the $100 limit.

I have had an order in with XS Sights for months now~ Been trying to contact them everyday for 2 months. I finally heard back and all they would tell me was that they would not be exporting the sights to Canada anymore :( We are indeed selling off what we have left in stock. I will post what we have left on The Shooting Edge Forum and everything will be 50% off.

My XS ghost rings for my Marlin 1894C arrived yestereday from Brownells. No problem whatsoever.

Except for the fact that TSE has them on sale after I ordered mine.

Seems to me like XS Sights never bothered to do their export license.~ Guess it was costing them to much to send to us and they just chose to close their Canada account~

When did you place the order, if you don't mind me asking?

I ordered a set from Ellwood Epps on June 11. When I heard that XS would no longer ship to Canada, I emailed Epps to see what was going on. They responded by saying that the order would now come from Brownells and that there would be a delay, but they didn't say how long. That was on Monday, Aug 17th.
