Ghost ring sights for my shotgun

Wilson and I bought them from P-D Ent. I had my gunsmith install them on my HP9-1. love them!

Wilson are the toughest, in my opinion. Just make sure the front is silver soldered into place - the adhesive don't work for crap.

Contact Casey at Tacord.com - he does awesome work, and can provide the sights too - for cheaper than most places!

Aha - didn't notice THAT part. :)

You CAN install them yourself if you have some mechanical aptitude and access to a drill press/mill. However, silver soldering might be tough without removing the tritium vial in the front sight - the heat may cause it to break.

If you're gonna do it yourself, get the ones without the tritium!

i dont do a whole lot of NV hunting with a shotgun anyway so i dont think ill really need the tritium :p . ill have a smith install them.

but can you guys provide a few other options ? we dont have any 3rd party ghost rings here for shotgun ( we are deprived of everything cool as there are more utilitarian hunters than hobby shooters )

Note - Trijicon manufactures the Wilson sights.

If you look at the latest Brownell's catalogue the Rebadged Wilson "Remington Trak-Lock II Ghost ring sight set goes for $150.00 USD (front / back Tritium).

The identical Trijicon sights on the same page go for $109.00 USD.

An alternative is to duplicate the Remington Factory sight using the Trijicon/Wilson rear sight and and Remington dovetail front sight base with the XS front Tritium bead. Since the base/dovetail are two separate parts you can siliver solder the front base and then add the dovetailed front ramp

What lmar said.

Believe that the Trak-Lock's are available straight from Trijicon for $99. Don't think that model has the tritium in the rear sight, which you said you don't need and it means the part can be exported without any permits being filled out.

If you want the front sight silver soldered you'll need a gunsmith who is authorized to do work for Trijicon, since he'll have to pull out the tritium in order to solder it.

Or as lmar suggested you could use the Remington front ramp sight, slightly more expensive since I don't think you can purchase just the rear sight of the Trak-Lock on its own.

Lots of people like the LPA ghost rings as well. I don't have any experience with them but they may be easier for you to source since they're from Italy.

If you want other options, look no further than your Brownells catalog. Brownells stocks shotgun ghost ring sights from: MEPROLIGHT; MMC; PSI; SAGE; TRIJICON; WILD WEST; WILLIAMS; WILSON COMBAT, and; XS.

The best price on the TrakLock is the Trijicon from Brownells. It is a tritium three-dot, with a wholesale cost of US$82., retailing at US$109. (The Wilson Combat version is made by Trijicon. They are identical, except for the fact that the Wilson costs more.)
