Ghost rings

About Ghost ring sights, should I be holding both eyes open (like a scope) or do I have to close one eye? what should I line up in the ring, the two ears or the bottom of the post?

any help is appreciated.

IMHO, always shoot with both eyes open with irons or optics.

With any type of iron sights (including shotgun beads) or with any magnification above 2.5x , my non-sighting eye must be closed or otherwise blocked.

The very tip-top of the (sharply focused) post should be centered in the ring.
