Guys, I got tiny hands and can't see myself doing load-4 consistently and smoothly, so I'm begninning to think load-2 would be the way to go.. Looks like those Ghost shellholders offer the best bang for the buck, but how suitable would they be for the load 2 method? If you have any alternatives, other thoughts etc etc, by all means.. Most of my shooting will be IPSC with maybe the occasional 3gun. Thanks in advance for any info.

That's the one but I have almost zero shotgun experience.. Under 3 figures in shells fired.. Gonna make-do with CC shellholders that I bought for running AR mags for this weekend's 3gun match but I will need something more suitable for future use.
By looking at the pictures, it appears load2 is very possible with those caddies. Even with a dedicated quad load caddy, you can do load 2. You just need to be more deliberate with your actions.
IMHO, for new action shotgunners, load 1 is a better starting method as you can do it very efficiently without any mods to the shotgun. Its pretty common to rip finger nails and gouge fingers/thumbs doing load 2 on a non modified shotgun.
Eitherway, take it slow and you'll be fine and probably come away without injury.

Someone at my club has the Ghost product.....he seems to like them, and is pretty efficient as well.
I like the Carbon Arms TWinS system.
Another choice is the Invictus Practical 8ight Plates system.....you get a lot of options with them!

Thanks guys. Not rushing into the purchase as I can't get my hands on the product before my 3gun match anyway, so I'm still highly appreciative of any input.
Intended use: Loading practice and 5-10 IPSC matches a year, starting next year

(2) Bladetech is also a trusted name but my DAA handgun mag pouches blow the Bladetech product outta the water

1) I am completely unfamiliar with the Ghost or the Carbon Arms products.
2) 667 knows what he is talking about when it comes to these sorts of things.
3) If this is the style of holder you want for your loading method, see #2 above.

That'll be happening abroad at a club that tyically hosts a level 2 every week, alternating evenly between handgun, shotgun and mini-rifle. My take on it is:
mini-rifle - each and every match
handgun - try to make most of them
shotgun - sure, why not, but I won't lose any sleep over missing a few
If you're ever in Chile, drop me a PM (starting next year). The local clubs welcome shooters from all over and their members travel abroad frequently, same as most of our clubs... Plus, they traditionally throw some dead animal flesh on hot iron after the matches, to keep the competitors in top IPSC-shape
Eventually, I do wanna try my hand at upper-level admin stuff, but I'm a LONG way from there. Don't have 1yr since BB so I can't take the RO course, which would be the logical next step in supporting the game.
That's a well-reviewed choice and I appreciate the invite.. Will try to get out of some obligations early tomorrow so I can make it in. Was considering ordering 3 of their 8 shell holders, but I figured I could get the Ghosts locally for about the same price, hence my inquiries.
Also gonna talk to a buddy who reloads shotshells to make me 30 or so dummy shells.. At least with azooms, I'm having trouble keeping them together so at least for the match, I decided to do weak hand load 2.
To each their own I guess. I found load 1 easier at any speed when I first started......well atleast less dangerous
I currently run carbon arms twins and like them. Only complaint is that sometimes the fasteners come loose from the backbone, nothing a little loctite can't fix though. I'll probably be trying out the invictus caddies in the near future though.
I don't have a lot of experience with sg matches yet but I have tried most of them for the same reason as the OP. I actually fabricated my own caddies based on the taccom original design because I was being cheap. (ended up costing more btw)
Until I discovered the Invictus Practical caddies. Picked up a few sets for the guys that were interested. Started practicing L2 and eventually quad loads. Within an hour I was quad loading efficiently even with my small hands. I guess the only downfall is if you have giant hands like one of my team mates. These caddies are so versatile for L2 and quad loading it'll compensate for my bad shooting.
Kevin from Invictus Practical has gotta be one of the best guys to deal with customer service wise. I highly recommend checking out his product, definately a game changer in my books. Good luck in your search.

Next in line I would say is the Taccom 8up QUALOAD...you can do quads or deuces with this system. Personally, I don't think these are as good of quality product.
Lots use the AP customs QL Series Shotshell Carriers...these are nice quality units.....expensive, but I have heard that they can cut your fingers.
